Kalkwater 4x4 River Camp offers an authentic wild camping experience. Please be aware that amenities such as bathroom facilities, drinking water, electricity, and braai facilities are NOT provided. Our single campsite can accommodate two vehicles, ensuring a secluded and immersive wilderness experience.

We encourage you to indulge in the river experience. The river is ideal for fishing, swimming and kayaking. Please note that swimming and kayaking are undertaken entirely at own risk.

4x4 Only

Situated along the Orange River bank, our campsites necessitate access via 4x4 vehicles due to the challenging terrain of thick sand. Precisely positioned 1.5 km from the N8 road, our campsites offer a secluded and nature-immersed experience.

Kalkwater River Camp operates without on-site staff or reception. Therefore we only accept bookings via our website or email. Please review our terms and conditions for more information. Be aware that cellphone signal may not be consistently available.
